Dell Released a Tablet Streak on Juny



Dell has announced the "Streak", a MID (Mobile Internet Device), a fusion between smartphones and tablet wide screen, which is based Android, which aims to provide mobile entertainment, social networking and navigation features. Almost the same with the iPhone, Dell tablet Streak will be launched in the UK in early June and then in other countries.

Device Streak was originally to regulate large-scale Web infrastructures to prevent downtime related to configuration changes. Streak, according to Dell, shows that the type of user device used to access their virtual desktops is now irrelevant, as mobile devices, can now offer the same experience as desktop and laptop computers.


Dell introduces new line of MID is the first time in January at the Consumer Electronics Show, where the tablet PC received a wave of attention since then. Streak will have a touch screen 5-inch WVGA, Qualcomm Snapdragon processor 1 GHz, 2 GB of internal storage, up to 32 GB SD external storage, 5 megapixel camera with LED flash and front camera for video chat. Streak Dell will also be supported by the 3G connection, 802. 11b / g Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity.

When launched, the system runs on Android Streak 1.6 (Donut), but the device can be upgraded to the new Flash support Android 2.2 (Froyo) at the end of this year, according to Dell. Mini tablet this will also include the application of Facebook, Twitter and YouTube to Google Maps, featuring free navigation. Dell promises to video chat applications and other software innovations. Dell Streak will be available next month in Europe through its subsidiary Telefonica O2 and AT & T will begin selling later this summer, according to Dell. The Company has not announced the price of this tablet Dell Streak.
