Google Chrome Beat Firefox

Google Chrome has gone through Firefox. In November, Chrome has been named as the most popular internet browser in the number two position, after Internet Explorer. This is according to StatCounter on Thursday.(30/11)

Chrome managed to take market share of 25.69 percent which increased by 4.66 percent from a year ago, according to gauge the popularity of pages downloaded in Dublin. In the United States, IE has a proportion of 50.66 percent whereas Firefox only 20.1 percent who dropped by 26.75 percent from a year ago, according to StatCounter. Last year, Chrome has only a proportion of the internet browser market with a 17.3 figure. On the world market, Google Chrome successfully won 7.5 percent of the market.

"We'll see a strong competition between Microsoft and Google because Chrome has proven to be the biggest opponent for Internet Explorer," said Aodhan Cullen, CEO of StatCounter.
